BIO

JUST A STUDENT FILMMAKER

Hey there! I'm Ariel Seemann, an 18-year-old filmmaker in the 21st Century program, e-Communication. I've been captivated with writing fiction and plotting stories for a long time: short stories, longer stories, theater and film scripts, imaginary TV shows, etc. I remember my first attempt to make a film: 7 years old, with my dad's camera, in my living room, a one girl show about a jungle adventure (and then throwing a fit because supper was ready and my mom made me eat, so I couldn't finish it). However, fast forward many years later, and I am accepted into e-Comm for my high school career. I originally applied because I wanted to pursue animation, but a renewed interest in making live action films (and my inability to do anything 3D animated) lead me to focus mainly on entertainment filmmaking for my junior and senior years. Aside from all the storytelling and filmmaking, I'm also a big musician (singing and violin) and a huge punk rock fan. I love to read meaningful books, write short stories to try and match them, will watch just about anything on Netflix, and occasionally experiment with graphic design and oldskool film photography. I look forward to graduate this year, and plan to attend a fairly local university and pursue a degree in English or Communication.
